• more sanctions against Belarus over the hijacking of an airliner to allow the kidnapping of a dissident, Gazans are trying to rebuild, attempts to suppress information on leaking oil pipelines in Russia, Iranian hardliners are aiming for total control, India is continuing to try to suppress social media, higher insurance policies from the climate crisis are having an impact on businesses, the remains of hundreds of Indigenous children have been found at a former school in Canada, "Australia is already paying more for the federal government’s inaction on climate than fossil fuels bring in", the uncertainties facing Afghanistan, Indigenous liaison officers in Qld police, child labour and slavery in North Korea, an opinion of hypocrisy and silencing of dissent by Scott and his crew - and another that public service hiring should consider moral courage, inadequate accountability for elitist schools - too many of which have a history of turning out bigotted (racist, LGBTIQ-phobic) misogynists - to account for their use of government money from our tax dollars, a burning ship has spilled the "worst ever" plastic pollution on to Sri Lanka's beaches, the victim blaming of the unemployed by media and neoliberal governments that started in the mid 70s and corroded the welfare system ("If we want to rebuild a healthier economy on the other side of this pandemic, we'll have to learn to treat each other as human"), the growing violence of the suppression of protests in Colombia has been described as "almost urban war", the possibility of mixing vaccines, decisions against "big oil" are a harbinger of forcing corporate responsibility on the climate crisis, excessive resource extraction in the Pacific, attempts are underway to strengthen the Israel-Palestine ceasefire,
  
  pandemic (nobody is safe until everyone is safe) in India & Brazil & Taiwan & Malaysia & Vietnam (a possible new variant) & Vic (tenders for new purpose built quarantine centre) & Germany (aid to South Africa) ,   legal action against Thailand's government over an allegedly inadequate response, unrealistic and stupid comments on keeping schools open, state governments are now going to hold Scott publicly to account,
  
  vaccine development - including for variants - security and rollout including in ,  
  
  Ebola in Guinea/West Africa, bushfire risk and bushfires in ,  
  
  
• Artemis, Baba Yaga, Pachamama and Cernunnos,
  help us connect to the wild places
  - show us all the beauty of all the life there,
  human, animal, plant or mineral,
  help all who touch these places,
  to truly know and care for them,
  for their own innate worth. 
  
  Brigid, Maeve and Aset,
  inspire and help all those who care for the bush or fight bushfires,
  let them fulfil their duties with passion and inspiration;
  and inspire and heal those tempted to do harm
  to such responsibility and caring
  that they can NOT commit such sacrilege,
  but may Ma’at bring swiftly to justice all who do make such sacrilege.
  
  Nu Kua, bringer of order to chaos,
  bring your ordered way to the wild places;
  let the rains fall and the winds blow when and where they are needed;
  Durga, protector against demons,
  set boundaries on any fires which may occur,
  and protect the wild places from the demon “bushfire”;
  Cerridwen, transform all harm and damage done into growth: death into rebirth.
  
  Gyhldeptis,
  we call on you to help synthesise all these threads,
  love, responsibility, inspiration, justice;
  ordered rain and wind, protective boundaries, transformation;
  help these many ways become one great whole,
  for the good of all the wild places, and all the wild life.
  throughout this coming bushfire season and beyond.
