• genocides including of Uyghurs and Tibetans in Chinese controlled/occupied territory , continued repression in Uganda , Tigray , CAR , Northern Ireland , violence in eastern Ukraine (build up of Russian troops on border) & Germany (prevention of Islamophobic attacks) & the Sahel (youth radio to fight extremism) & Sudan (Darfur) & Mozambique & Kenya (a new small arms factory) & Nigeria & Afghanistan (the USA will abandon women to the misogynistic VEs) ,   the problem of extremists being "enterprising" - driven by the desire for power and wealth,
  
  
• good news from the Yukon, abuse of LGBT elders in/by the aged care system, US President Biden has backed away from an oversight commission for police in favour of a bill that is doomed to fail . . . , Burmese pro-democracy activists call on people to continue to show defiance, Kenyan government threatens to close refugee camps, still awaiting justice in Sudan, Ukrainian women and children remain detained in Syria while own government looks on, illegal mining in Brazil’s Amazon rainforest worsens, North Korea facing famine,d Kremlin critic Navalny threatened with being force-fed, Kenya is putting refugees there at risk again - and the world is ignoring all problems in the situation, the racist inequality gap, "the world's wealthiest 1% produce double the combined carbon emissions of the poorest 50%", the dangers of AI for LGBT people, Somalia, DRC, anger over maritime boundaries in the Mediterranean, Iran has lashed out at sanctions over human rights abuses, those opposed to Ethiopia's Nile dam are building alliances, Japan will dump nuclear contaminated water into the ocean . . . , a "compelling" revelation of misogynistic bullying by Scott, the NDIS has been ordered to cut costs . . . and damn the costs for people affected it seems, Qatar has been using torture, lies by nurses over the dangers of drug testing for victims of spiking,
  
  pandemic (nobody is safe until everyone is safe) in Germany & Africa (health workers left out, call for local vaccine manufacture) ,   "mandatory face masks during Victoria's COVID-19 second wave helped 'save thousands'",
  
  vaccine development - including for variants - security and rollout including in China & India & Australia (3rd vaccine option, aged care in limbo, delay likely to devastate tourism) ,   another vaccine may have blood clot problems,
  
  the Caribbean island of St Vincent "has been left without clean water and electricity after last week’s eruption of the La Soufriere volcano", a boat capsize off Djibouti, Ebola in Guinea/West Africa, bushfire risk and bushfires in Nepal ,  
  
  
• Artemis, Baba Yaga, Pachamama and Cernunnos,
  help us connect to the wild places
  - show us all the beauty of all the life there,
  human, animal, plant or mineral,
  help all who touch these places,
  to truly know and care for them,
  for their own innate worth. 
  
  Brigid, Maeve and Aset,
  inspire and help all those who care for the bush or fight bushfires,
  let them fulfil their duties with passion and inspiration;
  and inspire and heal those tempted to do harm
  to such responsibility and caring
  that they can NOT commit such sacrilege,
  but may Ma’at bring swiftly to justice all who do make such sacrilege.
  
  Nu Kua, bringer of order to chaos,
  bring your ordered way to the wild places;
  let the rains fall and the winds blow when and where they are needed;
  Durga, protector against demons,
  set boundaries on any fires which may occur,
  and protect the wild places from the demon “bushfire”;
  Cerridwen, transform all harm and damage done into growth: death into rebirth.
  
  Gyhldeptis,
  we call on you to help synthesise all these threads,
  love, responsibility, inspiration, justice;
  ordered rain and wind, protective boundaries, transformation;
  help these many ways become one great whole,
  for the good of all the wild places, and all the wild life.
  throughout this coming bushfire season and beyond.

  Brigid, Maeve, Aset and Ma’at,
  Heal and inspire responsibility and justice;
