• Haiti's President has been assassinated - but with no signs of a coup, a Canadian forest is now so stressed that it is emitting carbon, concerns a controversial coal mine may be permanently affecting groundwater and wetlands may lead to legal action, the national neolibs have been told by their own advisor not to implement changes to the NDIS in their current form, Belgium will return artworks stolen from the DRC during the colonial era, a campaign for greater transparency on farms may go to the High Court, Ethiopia has resumed filling the Nile dam, Iran has resumed producing enriched uranium, more economic loss from our climate stupidity, why people hide being depressed from loved ones;   eutrophication;   hidden bigotry in government decision making;   US international stupidity;   gun violence declared an emergency in one US city;   thoroughness and avoidance of outsourcing responsibility for home owners;   taking BPM action instead of waiting for others;   food price particularly in Nigeria;   hypocrisy and inconsistency of government decision making;   limited awareness/perception in government decision making  / planning;   short sightedness over environmental matters including struggle for survival, greed and other causes;   hiding personal inadequacies / fear (especially over lack of control of life) by attacking those who are different;   unwarranted suspicions;   tokenism;

  help us connect to the wild places
  - show us all the beauty of all the life there,
  human, animal, plant or mineral,
  help all who touch these places,
  to truly know and care for them,
  for their own innate worth. 
  
  Brigid, Maeve and Aset,
  inspire and help all those who care for the bush or fight bushfires,
  let them fulfil their duties with passion and inspiration;
  and inspire and heal those tempted to do harm
  to such responsibility and caring
  that they can NOT commit such sacrilege,
  but may Ma’at bring swiftly to justice all who do make such sacrilege.
  
  Nu Kua, bringer of order to chaos,
  bring your ordered way to the wild places;
  let the rains fall and the winds blow when and where they are needed;
  Durga, protector against demons,
  set boundaries on any fires which may occur,
  and protect the wild places from the demon “bushfire”;
  Cerridwen, transform all harm and damage done into growth: death into rebirth.
  
  Gyhldeptis,
  we call on you to help synthesise all these threads,
  love, responsibility, inspiration, justice;
  ordered rain and wind, protective boundaries, transformation;
  help these many ways become one great whole,
  for the good of all the wild places, and all the wild life.
  throughout this coming bushfire season and beyond.
