  the attempted insurrection / coup by domestic terrorists in the USA and consequences,
  Kashmir's continuing experience of repression .
  
  
  
• genocides including of Uyghurs and Tibetans in Chinese controlled/occupied territory , continued repression in Uganda , Tigray , CAR , violence in Afghanistan (three women murdered by terrorists) & Iraq (suspected retaliatory rocket attack) & Somalia (UN will stay there for longer) & Chad (call for open investigation into recent killings by security forces at opposition figure's home) , an atrocity alert this week for Burma & Ethiopia & Nigeria & Syria, France has admitted torturing and murdering an Algerian independence fighter in the 1960s,
  
  
• an enquiry has recommended improved anti-vilification for more groups and the ban of nazi / neonazi symbols - on the same day one neonazi is charged for an alleged assault and a mannequin is dressed with a facemask with nazi symbols on it, one sporting club admits it was dismissive of claims of racism and another club is appearing in a poor light on a racism related matter; 
• in a busy day: 
  • a male former senator is ordered to pay substantial damages for defaming a female Senator; 
  • the head of our defence forces makes a stupid and dangerous victim blaming statement that "attractive" cadets should not go out . . . ; 
  • powerful  criticism of Scott for trying to imply being a father was necessary / effective in the development of empathy for sexual assault victims; and 
  • the person named as having committed a sexual assault on a minor had denied the allegation and refuses to step down, but:
  • he did NOT address all matters; 
  • his claims media did not contact are disputed by media who say they did contact him; 
  • the lawyer who represented the woman who made the allegation has called for an enquiry; and
    
  • the claims that him standing aside from the role of Attorney-General would "end the rule of law" - and  other  claims (and actions  and  inactions) - are nonsensical  and  tone  deaf  in  the  extreme;
  • subsequently: 
  • explanation as to why a resignation would NOT be a "new" standard; 
    
  • a female neolib minister has "not denied" reports she denigrated a rape victim, continuing a long history of slurs; 
  • confirmation the coronial investigation into the complainant's death will continue; 
    
  • a call for collective organisation of women's anger;

  - show us all the beauty of all the life there,
  human, animal, plant or mineral,
  help all who touch these places,
  to truly know and care for them,
  for their own innate worth. 
  
  Brigid, Maeve and Aset,
  inspire and help all those who care for the bush or fight bushfires,
  let them fulfil their duties with passion and inspiration;
  and inspire and heal those tempted to do harm
  to such responsibility and caring
  that they can NOT commit such sacrilege,
  but may Ma’at bring swiftly to justice all who do make such sacrilege.
  
  Nu Kua, bringer of order to chaos,
  bring your ordered way to the wild places;
  let the rains fall and the winds blow when and where they are needed;
  Durga, protector against demons,
  set boundaries on any fires which may occur,
  and protect the wild places from the demon “bushfire”;
  Cerridwen, transform all harm and damage done into growth: death into rebirth.
  
  Gyhldeptis,
  we call on you to help synthesise all these threads,
  love, responsibility, inspiration, justice;
  ordered rain and wind, protective boundaries, transformation;
  help these many ways become one great whole,
  for the good of all the wild places, and all the wild life.
  throughout this coming bushfire season and beyond.
