• ongoing revelations of extent of threat against lives, stupidity and hypocrisy of insurrectionists, #45's attempts to sabotage/booby trap President-elect Biden's administration, continuing fleeing of corporate donors of the conservatives in the USA, trumpettes move to "niche" social media, Trump's ban is NOT comparable to China's censorship, the "post-USA" world, continued detention of "active participant in a violent insurrection that attempted to overthrow the United States government" on order of judge,
  lack of emotional intelligence of right wing fanatics, the attempted insurrection / coup by domestic terrorists in the USA (as the Times of India termed it: the Coup Klux Klan") including clear signs of military preparation (training, planning, targets, knowledge of entry/exit points, etc) & aid from police (letting the domestic terrorists / insurrectionists in and out) & very VERY VERY belated shutdown of coup / insurrection leader Trump's social media accounts, may Trump removed IMMEDIATELY by invoking the US 25th Amendment to their Constitution and all those who incited (especially Trump and members of the US republican party), enabled (including cops who stood aside, and the Trump-appointed official who initially refused to deploy the National), or were after the fact accomplices be identified charged tried in court of law with due process and punished according to law. 
  
  So mote it be.
  
  
• continued repression in Uganda, strong doubts over vote in Uganda, death of dozens in DRC, condemnation of rebel attack in CAR, release of hostages in Mozambique,
  
  
• the political cost of abusing human rights, what Australia needs to do for the likely effects of the climate crisis, the staggering ineptitude - including incompetence as human beings - of police and bureaucrats who forced a woman to miscarry by a roadside (albeit for an arguable trip), collapse of Dutch government over robodebt-style scandal over child benefits, criticism of lazy journalism, Afghanistan, Cameroon, the Central Sahel (Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger), China, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen, Central African Republic, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Myanmar (Burma), Nigeria and South Sudan, criminality of the "darknet", alternatives to the NBN, need for improvements to international aid and financing, reversing and healing the harm done by "gaslighters", gentrification, sexist bias in archaeology, possibility of reviving the nuclear deal with Iran, citizenship, assault on freedom of speech and the LGBT community in Poland, momentum building for intersex protection in India, lockdown while shackled, pandemic exposes abuses against garment workers, a call for the EU to regulate artificial intelligence to protect human rights, anti-foreigner legislative hysteria growing in Russia, yet more misogyny - albeit this time not physically violent - from the Philippines leader, forest dwellers in Kashmir, FGM in the USA, sexism in Bangladesh, legal action by New York against police for excessive force against BLM protestors, suppression in Zimbabwe and calls to end that, attempts to appoint a Libya a mediator, fears for Eritrean refugees in Tigray, attempts to facilitate talks on the Nile dam, convictions of South Sudan soldiers for rape, Sudan-Ethiopia border, uncertainty about end of President's term in Somalia,
  
  pandemic in Australia (putting sports stars ahead of others) & UAE & Thailand & Malawi/South Africa , possible airborne transmission of COVID-19,
  
  vaccine development security and rollout including in USA China/developing nations , the need to act urgently with vaccinations before a variant becomes dominant,
  
  bushfires in WA,
  
  
• Artemis, Baba Yaga, Pachamama and Cernunnos,
  help us connect to the wild places
  - show us all the beauty of all the life there,
  human, animal, plant or mineral,
  help all who touch these places,
  to truly know and care for them,
  for their own innate worth. 
  
  Brigid, Maeve and Aset,
  inspire and help all those who care for the bush or fight bushfires,
  let them fulfil their duties with passion and inspiration;
  and inspire and heal those tempted to do harm
  to such responsibility and caring
  that they can NOT commit such sacrilege,
  but may Ma’at bring swiftly to justice all who do make such sacrilege.
  
  Nu Kua, bringer of order to chaos,
  bring your ordered way to the wild places;
  let the rains fall and the winds blow when and where they are needed;
  Durga, protector against demons,
  set boundaries on any fires which may occur,
  and protect the wild places from the demon “bushfire”;
  Cerridwen, transform all harm and damage done into growth: death into rebirth.
  
  Gyhldeptis,
  we call on you to help synthesise all these threads,
  love, responsibility, inspiration, justice;
  ordered rain and wind, protective boundaries, transformation;
  help these many ways become one great whole,
  for the good of all the wild places, and all the wild life.
  throughout this coming bushfire season and beyond.
  
  Artemis, Baba Yaga, Pachamama, Cernunnos,
  Let us love the wild places;
  Brigid, Maeve, Aset and Ma’at,
  Heal and inspire responsibility and justice;
  Nu Kua, Durga and Cerridwen,
